It's not all about the Walking.

In a rare gadget related feature, I have to extol the virtues of my latest acquisition, snapped up at a bargain price of £15 at the Gadget Show Live at the NEC last weekend.

Introducing El Diablo:

It is quick, wireless, doesn't require more than a rinse to clean it (unless you are Myriam) and you can use any old bread, pitta, chapatis, rice, with whatever you fancy for a filling from your fridge or emergency  biological warfare lock down rations. True if you fill it with strawberries, bananas and marshmallows, and fail to seal the pastry casing properly, it can make a bit of a mess of your stove top, but the remnants were delicious!

Walking Spiritually

Walking uplifts the spirit. Breathe out the poisons of tension, stress, and worry; breathe in the power of God. Send forth little silent prayers of goodwill toward those you meet. Walk with a sense of being a part of a vast universe. Consider the thousands of miles of earth beneath your feet; think of the limitless expanse of space above your head. Walk in awe, wonder, and humility. Walk at all times of day. In the early morning when the world is just waking up. Late at night under the stars. Along a busy city street at noontime.

Flying objects

Last Wednesday, as we were looking at the Portimao skydivers and Alvor flamingos, Antje wondered what the collective word for a group of flamingos was. I remembered "a murmuration of starlings" but couldn´t help with the flamingos. Later on, I looked at a list of collectives and found some traditional ones "such as "a murder of crows" as well as some modern whimsies, such as " an absence of waiters" and "an actually of pedants" (which I am sure will appeal to Paulo a Pe); but nothing on flamingos. Then, on another site, which had "a trip of mushrooms" (which will appeal to Antje), finally I found it - "a stand of flamingos."

Discuss..........

One good husband is worth two good wives, for the scarcer things are, the more they are valued.

..........but not with your wife!
